A protest march and rally was held demanding the resignation of Matiur Rahman Milon, Acting Principal of Nasirganj Degree College of Sonadanga Union of Bagmara Upazila of Rajshahi.

On Sunday (December 15 – 2024) at 11:30 pm, the rally was held at the college premises after the protest march. The protest rally was held under the banner of students, parents, aware people of the institution.

Nahid Hasan, a student of Nasirganj Degree College, said that there were various reasons such as students took a stand against students during the anti-discrimination movement, there was apathy towards the college. He has always opposed the students regarding classes and other matters.

Because of that we are demanding the resignation of Acting Principal Matiur Rahman Milan sir. The protesters demanded the resignation of the acting principal within 1 hour. Acting Principal Matiur Rahman Milon resigned in the face of student crowd.

In this regard, Bagmara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahbubul Islam said, I do not know anything about the resignation
